WANDA FAYE TRIMBLE
Wanda Faye Trimble, age 76, passed away on March 15, 2026. She was born in LaFayette on May 21,1949. Faye was preceded in death by her father Robert Eugene Trimble, paternal grandparents Robert and Omie Trimble and maternal grandmother Pearlie Gooden. She is survived by her loving mother Gearline Trimble, sister Bobbie (Perry) Walls, her nephew Bubba (Ashley) Walls, her niece Shannon Deller, her aunts, Wynell Talley, Yvonne (Pee Wee) Jessup and numerous cousins, grand nieces and dear friends who will miss her deeply. Faye dedicated 30 years of her life to education, retiring from the Mobile County School System as head of student testing and leaving a lasting impression on many young lives. Outside her career she was a gifted scenic painter. She was also known as a generous supporter of multiple charities. Faye had a deep love for her two dogs, Jasper and Molly, who brought her great companionship.
A celebration of life will be held on April 25 at 2 p.m. at LaFayette Heights Baptist Church Family Life Center, 1200 Alabama Hwy 77. The family asks that any contributions in Faye’s memory be sent to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
CYNTHIA LOUISE TEEL
Cynthia Louise Teel, 60, of Valley, Alabama, passed away on April 11, 2026 at her residence. She was born in Chambers County, on June 22, 1965, to the late William O’Neil Wood and Margaret White Wood.
She had worked as a secretary at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens in Lanett.
Cindy is survived by her husband, Earl Teel, daughters; Charity (Shane) Sanders and Breanna (Ryan) Striblin, step-sons; Shane (Beth) Teel and Bryan (Brandy) Teel, grandchildren; Britney, Jessie, Kendall, Shayna, Clayton, Chase, Tucker and Addie Mae, great-grandchildren; Stetson, Sterling, Collins, Emi, Jayden, Emery, Wrenley and Hudson, her mother, Margaret Wood, brothers; Allen (Sam) Wood, Tim Wood, and Keith Wood.
She was preceded by her daughter, Kelsey Teel, and her father, Neil Wood.
A Celebration of Life will be held at later date.
