Obituary - Bobby V. Kendrick
The funeral services for Bobby V. Kendrick, age 81, of LaFayette will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 27, at 4 p.m. at Rock Springs Baptist Church with Bro. Tommy Wilcox officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery with Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
The family will receive friends at the church from 3 to 4 p.m. on Wednesday before services begin.
Mr. Kendrick passed away on Saturday, Aug. 23, 2025, at his residence.
Survivors include his wife, Cindy Mims Kendrick of LaFayette; two sons, Matthew Kendrick (Stephanie) of Opelika and Chad Kendrick (Diana) of LaFayette; two grandchildren, Ellie Kendrick and Carson Kendrick; and five brothers, James Kendrick (Barbara) of Wedowee and Fred Kendrick (Janice), Harold Kendrick (Dianne), Jack Kendrick (Alice) and Charles Kendrick (Jean), all of LaFayette.
Pallbearers will be Michael Kendrick, William Kendrick, Daniel Buttrill, Jeremy Robinson, Randall Kendrick and Aivis Tumovs. Honorary pallbearers will be James Kendrick, Fred Kendrick, Harold Kendrick, Jack Kendrick and Charles Kendrick.
A Chambers County native, Mr. Kendrick was born on Feb. 9, 1944, the son of James Daniel “J.D.” and Mildred Louise Lankford Kendrick. He was a 1962 graduate of Five Points High School and was a member of Rock Springs Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon for many years. Mr. Kendrick was retired from the Chambers County Highway Department after 25 years of work and was a cattle farmer. He loved working with his hands and building. Mr. Kendrick was preceded in death by his parents.
