Default having been made in the payment of the indebtedness secured by that certain mortgage given by Summer Nelson and spouse, William Glenn Nelson III to Mortgage Electronic Registration Systems, Inc., as mortgagee, as nominee for CMG Mortgage, Inc. dba CMG Home Loans, dated July 26, 2024, and recorded in Book 2024 at Page 3795 on August 2, 2024, in the Office of the Judge of Probate of Chambers County, Alabama, as last transferred to Freedom Mortgage Corporation by assignment, recorded on July 14, 2025, in Book 2025, at Page 2950 in the Office of the Judge of Probate of Chambers County, Alabama, conveying the after-described property to secure a Note in the original principal amount of Two Hundred Twenty-Seven Thousand One Hundred Fifty-Six and 0/100 dollars ($227,156.00), with interest thereon as set forth therein. Brock and Scott, PLLC, as counsel for Mortgagee or Transferee and under and by virtue of power of sale contained in the said mortgage will, on January 15, 2026, sell at public outcry to the highest bidder for cash at the main courthouse entrance of Chambers County, Alabama, within the legal hours of sale, the following described property:

This being the same property conveyed to Stephanie Chappell by that certain deed dated June 20, 2008, recorded in Document Number 2008-3047, in the Office of the Judge of Probate of Chambers County, Alabama.
The debt secured by said Mortgage has been and is hereby declared due because of, among other possible events of default, failure to pay the indebtedness as and when due and in the manner provided in the Note and Mortgage. The debt remaining in default, this sale will be made for the purpose of paying the same and all expenses of this sale, as provided in Mortgage and by law, including attorney’s fees.

The City of LaFayette is seeking a qualified individual to serve as Superintendent of the City of LaFayette Wastewater Millcreek Plant (a Grade III, 1.0 MGD Wastewater plant).
The Successful candidate will need to possess a Grade III wastewater certificate for Alabama. The successful candidate should also possess considerable knowledge of wastewater plants. The city requests that the candidate have five years progressively responsible experience at wastewater plants with at least two of those years in a supervisory position.
The position is a management position as well as an operational position. The Superintendent plans and oversees the operation, maintenance, and personnel for the Wastewater Millcreek Plant.

The City of LaFayette is accepting applications for a full-time Grade III Wastewater Plant Operator. The City of LaFayette operates a Grade III, 1.0 MGD Wastewater Plant.
The Successful candidate will need to possess a high school diploma or GED and an Alabama Grade III Wastewater Operator Certificate. The successful applicant is expected to maintain plant records, collect samples, lab operations, tests and monitor conditions throughout the plant in accordance with EPA and ADEM standards; conduct plant maintenance and inspection tours of wastewater plant and report any malfunctions. The position also requires lifting, shoveling and climbing ladders/stairs.
Applicants should be willing to work on weekends and holidays when assigned.

SANITATION SERVICES
The City of LaFayette, Alabama is requesting proposals from qualified vendors for sanitation services for City residents beginning March 1, 2026. The sanitation services
requested include once a week collection of garbage from City residents. LaFayette is currently being served under contract by Waste Management, and the contract expires
February 28, 2026. The contract with Waste Management covers the collection of household garbage from approximately 1100 residential accounts in LaFayette. Collection is made from roll out containers supplied to each resident from Waste Management.
The City of LaFayette has prepared specifications to assist in responses to this Request
for Proposal. These specifications are available from the City of LaFayette. If interested,
