OLA MAE BROWN

A Celebration of Life for Ola Mae Brown, age 85, of Woodland, was held on Sunday, Nov. 2, at The Venue in downtown LaFayette.

Mrs. Brown passed away on Thursday, Oct. 30, 2025, at Fellowship Assisted Living in LaGrange, Georgia.

Survivors include one son, Sidney Brown; two daughters, Toni Chambers (David) and Dori Harmon (Ashley); five grandchildren, Erica (Doc), Will, Tyler, Tori and Maci (Connor); and two great-grandchildren, Kaiden and Giaxon.

A Randolph County native, Mrs. Brown was born on May 6, 1940, the daughter of Glover and Nettie Barton. She was Methodist by faith and was a fine Christian woman. Mrs. Brown was a breast cancer survivor and a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jim Brown; a grandson, Hayden Burns; and daughter-in-law, Charlene Brown.

JAJA ZAMBROWSKIK DAVIS JR.

Mr. JaJa Zambrowski Davis, Jr., 31, of Lanett died Sunday, Nov. 23, 2025, in Lanett.

Funeral services were held Dec. 2, at Mt. Hermon Baptist Church, in Lanett with the Rev. Justin M. Freeman officiating.

The interment was in Pine Hill cemetery in Lanett.

JaJa leaves behind cherished memories: his devoted mother, Mattie (the late John) Brown; a loving father, JaJa (Tonia) Davis; a caring birth mother, Anquanette (Norman) Carlise; his six children whom he adored, JaKaiden, Jayden, Jayceion, Kaislee, JaNiaya and Princeton Davis; the mothers of his children, Neshia Bridges, Kiara Cromwell and Kayla Buckhanon; his sisters Miracle Davis, Felissa (Keon) Brown, Tiesha (Korey) Floyd, Mikiya Heard, Jaya Davis, Shirmiracle Mackey, Ashley (Latavious) Todd and Nyesha Reese; and his brothers Caleb Jenkins, Alexander Ogletree, Kelvin and Marcharlos McLemore, D’Qwarious, D’Qwavious, D’Qwentin (Alliyah) Billingsley, Calvin and Okoye Warren, Edwin and Michael Davis, TyQuan Madden, Czecho Boyd, Randal Mackey and Bralon Avery; his aunts and uncles Ynez Dixon, Wanda (Harvis) Davis, Kezia (Micheal) Heard, Pataski Davis, Sasakia Davis, Oprah (Roy) Holloway, Kimberly Martin, Alonzo (Meka) Brown, Lydell (Allison) Trimble, Melissa Calloway, Ossie McCauley, Sean (Mary) Bledsoe, Terrance (Monica) Bledsoe, Robin Brown, Twyla (Johnny) Heard, Dineka Carwell, LaToya Heard, Dwayne Heard, Fredrick (Nicole) Brown and Tara (Lewis) Vines; his godmother, Paula Jackson Williams; his godparents, Sharon and Thadeus Jenkins; special cousins Zaysia Heard, Zayden Scott, Zaylor Reese and Dakota Billingsley; along with a host of extended family and friends who will forever hold him in their hearts.
