THE LAFAYETTE SUN

LAFAYETTE — Fresh off their third straight state championship, the Chambers Academy Rebels capped their season with numbers as dominant as their record — and the stats tell the story.

By the numbers

1,696 — The number of yards earned on on the ground by Peyton Yerta.

427 — The number of points by which the Rebels outscored their opponents.

203 — The number of career wins for head coach Jason Allen.

88 — The number of touchdowns scored this season by the Rebels.

61 — The number of pass break-ups, pass deflections, sacks and interceptions that the Rebel defense recorded this year.

44 — The number of wins the senior class has recorded since ninth grade with only eight losses.

36 — The number of wins against AISA teams since the Rebels’ last AISA loss dating back to Aug. 17, 2023.

15 — The number of seniors invited to play in the AISA All-Star Game.

3 — The number of championships the Rebels have won consecutively and the number of shutouts the Rebel defense recorded.

1 — The number of heads shaved in the parking lot following the Rebels’ championship win.

In the end, the stats prove what the scoreboard already showed — Chambers Academy wasn’t just good, they were dominant. With three straight titles and a senior class that helped shape a powerhouse, the Rebels close the season as one of the most memorable teams in school history.
