VALLEY - DEC. 6 — SLEIGH THE COURSE 5K
The Valley Community Center will host th seventh annual Sleigh the Course 5K Run/Walk beginning at the covered bridge and finishing at the Merry-Go-Round. Registration is $30 and includes a race shirt. Register at apps.daysmartrecreation.com.
DEC. 6 — GINGERBREAD HOUSE
DECORATING COMPETITION
A gingerbread house decorating competition will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Merry-Go-Round. Kits are $15 and RSVP is required. Register at apps.daysmartrecreation.com.
DEC. 13 — CANDY CANE HUNT
Children ages 4–12 are invited to a free candy cane hunt in the field next to the Merry-Go-Round. Thousands of candy canes will be scattered for kids to collect.
DEC. 20 — PANCAKES WITH
FIREFIGHTERS
East Alabama Fire District Station 1 will host a pancake breakfast with Santa, firefighters and a hot-chocolate bar. Kids eat free; adults are $2.
DEC. 24 — MERRY-GO-ROUND CLOSING DAY
The Merry-Go-Round will hold its final night of rides for the season.
DEC. 29 — ORNAMENT COLORING CONTEST WINNER ANNOUNCED
The Valley Community Center will announce the winner of its Ornament Coloring Contest. Participants may stop by the VCC to color an ornament and enter for a chance to win a free one-year membership.
LAFAYETTE - DEC. 12 — JINGLE & MINGLE
6 p.m. — Jingle & Mingle will be held at the Pearl Event Center in downtown LaFayette.

4 to 6 p.m. — Christmas on the Square will fill downtown LaFayette with food trucks and festive shopping.
DEC. 13 - CITY OF LAFAYETTE PARADE
6 p.m. — The city of LaFayette will hosts its annual Christmas Parade in downtown following Christmas on the Square.
