REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL CITY OF LAFAYETTE, ALABAMA
HOUSEHOLD GARBAGE COLLECTION SERVICES
The City of LaFayette, Alabama is requesting proposals from qualified vendors for household garbage collection for City residents beginning March 1, 2026. The services requested include once a week collection of garbage from City residents. LaFayette is currently being served under contract by Waste Management, and the contract expires
February 28, 2026. The contract with Waste Management covers the collection of household garbage from approximately 1100 residential accounts in LaFayette. Collection is made from roll out containers supplied to each resident from Waste Management.
The City of LaFayette has prepared specifications to assist in responses to this Request
for Proposal. These specifications are available from the City of LaFayette. If interested,

The City requests that all proposals be returned in a sealed envelope and marked with the bidder’s name and ‘Sanitation Proposals’ written on the outside to LaFayette City Hall (Post Office Box 87) 50 Alabama Avenue West, LaFayette, Alabama by Thursday, January 22, 2026 at 11:00 am central standard time where all proposals received will be opened and read aloud beginning at that time. The LaFayette City Council will review the proposals at the January 26, 2026, City Council meeting. It is recommended that all interested parties visit the City of LaFayette and review current garbage collection operations with Street and Sanitation Superintendent George Green. Default having been made of the terms of the loan documents secured by that certain mortgage executed by Torry Bryant, Twyla Pullen, Emma Sue Whitlow to American General Financial Services of Alabama, Inc. dated August 25, 2003; said mortgage being recorded on August 27, 2003 as Instrument No. 2003-4500 as having been modified by an agreement recorded as Instrument No. 2012-3855 in the Office of the Judge of Probate of Chambers County, Alabama. Said Mortgage was last sold, assigned and transferred to U.S. BANK TRUST NATIONAL ASSOCIATION, NOT IN ITS INDIVIDUAL CAPACITY BUT SOLELY AS OWNER TRUSTEE FOR RCAF ACQUISITION TRUST by assignment recorded as Instrument No. 2025-5292 in the Office of the Judge of Probate of Chambers County, Alabama.
The undersigned, U.S. BANK TRUST NATIONAL ASSOCIATION, NOT IN ITS INDIVIDUAL CAPACITY BUT SOLELY AS OWNER TRUSTEE FOR RCAF ACQUISITION TRUST, under and by virtue of the power of sale contained in said mortgage, will sell at public outcry to the highest bidder for cash before the main entrance of the Court House in Chambers County, Alabama during the legal hours of sale (between 11am and 4pm), on March 12, 2026 the following property, situated in Chambers County, Alabama, to-wit:
A LOT IN THE CITY OF LAFAYETTE, ALABAMA ON THE ROAD LEADING FROM LAFAYETTE TO CUSSETA, ALABAMA AND MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED AS FOLLOWS: BEGINNING AT A POINT WHERE THE SOUTHERN BOUNDARY LINE OF THE JOHN JORDON LOT INTERESECTS THE MARGIN OF THE LAFAYETTE AND CUSSETA ROAD, THENCE SOUTH ALONG THE MARGIN OF SAID ROAD 70 FEET TO THE GEORGE MCLEMORE LOT THENCE EAST ALONG THE SAID GEORGE MCLEMORE LINE 150 FEET TO DAISEY IRVIN LINE; THENCE NORTH ALONG SAID LINE 70 FEET TO JOHN JORDON LINE, THENCE WEST ALONG SAID JOHN JORDON LINE TO THE BEGINNING POINT.

Said property will be sold subject to any outstanding ad valorem taxes (including taxes which are a lien, but not yet due and payable), the right of redemption of any taxing authority, all outstanding liens for public utilities which constitute liens upon the property, any matters which might be disclosed by an accurate survey and inspection of the property, any assessments, liens, encumbrances, easements, rights-of-way, zoning ordinances, restrictions, special assessments, covenants, the statutory right of redemption pursuant to Alabama law, and any matters of record including, but not limited to, those superior to said Mortgage first set out above.
