LANETT — During a school-wide event, on Thursday, Sept. 25, Springwood School announced it has been named a T-Mobile $25,000 finalist for the Friday Night 5G Lights Program, with a chance to win a $1 million stadium upgrade.
“We are thrilled to share some big news with you,” a press relase said. “Out of 2,176 schools nationwide, Springwood has won $25,000 as a Top 25 Finalist in T-Mobile’s Friday Night 5G Lights program.”
Springwood will now go head–to–head for the grand prize — a $1 million dollar field/stadium and weight room upgrade.
“We are competing against 24 other schools nationwide, so every daily vote for our school matters,” said Allyson L. Matthews, head of the school. “Springwood is the only school in Alabama in the finals, so we are counting on our entire community and state support.”
