Valley Haven announces final year of LaFayette Day
CONTRUBUTED BY THE VALLEY HAVEN AND LAFAYETTE DAY COMMITTEE
LAFAYETTE — For 30 remarkable years, Valley Haven LaFayette Day has stood as more than just an annual gathering — it has been a cherished tradition woven into the fabric of the community. Families, friends, neighbors and supporters have come together each year with a shared purpose: to celebrate, to give back and to uplift the mission of Valley Haven. The event has created memories that span generations, filled with laughter, connection and a deep sense of community pride.
This year’s LaFayette Day will carry special significance as the organization celebrates the final chapter of this beloved tradition. As participation patterns have naturally shifted and the event now coincides with several other community activities during the same season, Valley Haven has thoughtfully evaluated the future of the event. After careful consideration, leadership has determined that this year will be the final time LaFayette Day is held in its current fom.
While the decision is bittersweet, the upcoming celebration will be filled with joy, gratitude and reflection on the lasting impact the event has had over the past three decades. From long-time supporters who have attended since the beginning to newcomers experiencing the event for the first time, the spirit of togetherness remains at the heart of LaFayette Day. This year’s gathering will offer the community an opportunity to honor the tradition, reconnect with familiar faces and enjoy the experience one more time.
As this chapter comes to a close, Valley Haven and the LaFayette Day Committee expressed their deepest appreciation to everyone who has contributed to the success and longevity of LaFayette Day. The event leaves behind a powerful legacy of service, compassion and unity. Though this marks the final celebration, its impact will continue to live on through the lives touched, the memories created and the strong sense of community it helped build.
Valley Haven and the LaFayette Day Committee look forward to making this final LaFayette Day a memorable one — and to exploring new ways to bring the community together in the years ahead.
