CHAMBERS COUNTY — At the July 13 Chambers County Commission Meeting, the commission approved regular business, and Commissioner for District 2 and Chair Douglas Jones Sr. read a proclamation for the 25th anniversary of the Day of Prayer in Chambers County, presenting it to Diane Perry.
“If we don’t pray for our leaders, nobody else will,” Perry said. “If we don’t pray for Chambers County, nobody else will. We love Chambers County, we love our leaders and everybody’s going to have their differences; nobody’s going to agree on everything, but it’s coming together in unity and loving each other and working together in accomplishment. If you have noticed, Chambers County has really blossomed, and it’s going to continue to blossom every day. And we appreciate you all.”
